In-Line Fuel Filter Housing and Replacement Filters
The FA2 In-Line Fuel Filter is designed for efficient performance when filling fuel tanks or storage tanks. Ideal for petrol, diesel, and ethanol, this filter ensures reliable filtration. However, it is not recommended for use with fuels containing additives.
This fuel filter assembly includes the durable PF10 filter for diesel fuel as standard and is commonly supplied with the Alemlube 5080A High Volume Rotary Drum Pump and Filter. Replacement filters without the complete housing assembly can also be ordered individually.
Maintenance Advice
- Attach the filter to the storage tank fitting on the inlet marked “IN.”
- Attach the hose and nozzle to the filter opening marked “OUT.” Do not exceed 100PSI internal pressure on the unit. Avoid tightening the filter cap using the filter bowl for leverage.
- Use a wrench on the flat surfaces in the center part of the filter cap ONLY to tighten or remove it.
- Apply a coat of clean oil to the FA2N Gasket when installing the filter on the tank and each time the plastic bowl is removed. This ensures a better seal between the cap and the bowl.
-
Visually check the filter element for replacement. Replace the filter element when dirty or when the flow is restricted. To replace:
- Unscrew the filter bowl and remove the filter element.
- Replace with a new filter element and hand-tighten only.
- Install a shut-off valve between the tank and the filter, keeping it closed except when withdrawing fuel. This unit should not be used unattended for safety reasons.
- When replacing a filter element, always use a PF10N element only.
