Project Overview
Nqpetro was engaged by Viva Energy as part of the major site overhaul and rebranding of the Kirrawee Service Station in NSW.
Led by Project Manager Zac Patten, our team delivered a complete fuel system upgrade to bring the site in line with the latest regulations and standards, extend the operational life of the facility, and introduce AdBlue to the retail forecourt.

Project Scope
To support the site upgrade and ensure long-term compliance and performance, Nqpetro delivered a full end-to-end scope across underground infrastructure, forecourt systems, commissioning, and reinstatement works.
Key project elements included:
- Removal of existing underground fuel infrastructure
- Installation of a complete new pipework system
- Installation of a complete new hazardous area electrical system
- Supply and installation of an AdBlue tank
- Installation of new FitSafe kits to existing fuel tanks to allow safe access into older steel tanks
- Installation and commissioning of the ATG system
- New vents, fill boxes, suction lines, containment sumps, fill lines, suction lines, and associated infrastructure
- Installation and commissioning of new 10 hose pumps, enabling each product grade to be available at every filling position
- Civil works, including concrete reinstatement
- NMI calibrations

What is FitSafe?
Nqpetro is the exclusive trained and accredited provider for FitSafe works in Australia.
As monitoring and dispensing technology evolves, upgrades to the forecourt can still be introduced without replacing existing underground tanks. To add equipment such as ATG probes, new suction lines, or additional fittings, a purpose-built access point may be required.
A FitSafe access opening creates an engineered entry point in the tank and seals it with a fuel-rated system, providing a safe and compliant way to retrofit new equipment.
