PROJECT OVERVIEW
Nqpetro is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the BP Stapylton Tank Replacement project, which involved the removal and replacement of the service station’s underground petroleum storage system (UPSS), bringing the site in line with modern regulations. This comprehensive upgrade encompassed civil demolition works, decommissioning of existing fuel infrastructure, sheet piling, fuel tank installation, forecourt capture system installation, underground fuel pipework installation, hazardous area electrical upgrades, and fuel equipment supply, installation, and commissioning.
KEY PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING UNDERGROUND TANKS: We successfully removed and replaced four existing double-wall fibreglass tanks, upgrading the underground petroleum storage system (UPSS) at the service station to enhance safety and efficiency.
SHEET PILING FOR TANK FARM: Implemented sheet piling techniques to secure and reinforce the tank farm area, ensuring stability and safety during construction activities.
INSTALLATION OF CAR AND TRUCK CANOPY PIPEWORK: Efficiently installed pipework for car and truck canopies, facilitating seamless fuel delivery and enhancing customer experience at the service station.
HAZARDOUS AREA ELECTRICAL UPGRADES: Performed hazardous area electrical upgrades to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, prioritising site personnel's and customers' well-being.
INTEGRATION WITH EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE: Successfully integrated new fuel pipework within existing conduit systems mounted under a suspended concrete slab, optimising space utilisation and minimising disruption to site operations.
