Project Overview
The completed site includes a modern retail fuel forecourt and three newly built retail stores, providing a new fuel and commercial destination for Woree and the southern Cairns corridor.
This service station was delivered under the experienced leadership of our Retail Projects Director, Alex Plowman, and the project encompassed a full turnkey solution—from design and installation to commissioning and compliance.

Project Scope
Nqpetro’s scope of works included the supply and installation of:
- 2 x 90,000L underground fuel tanks
- 1 x Atlan Stormwater Spillceptor tank
- All underground fuel pipework, vent lines and fill points
- Hazardous area electrical systems
- 3 x 10-hose fuel dispensers, delivering five grades of product.
- Automatic Tank Gauging system (ATG), providing fuel monitoring capability for site operations

Calibration & Commissioning
As part of the 7-Eleven Woree project, Nqpetro completed pre and post-bury integrity testing of the fuel system. This testing helps confirm the fuel storage and pipework system is sound, leak-free and ready for operation.
Nqpetro also completed in-house NMI calibrations of the fuel dispensers, ensuring the dispensers were tested and calibrated for accurate fuel measurement prior to retail operation.
The team then completed full commissioning of the fuel system for retail operation, ensuring the site was ready to support day-to-day forecourt use.

Now in full operation, the new 7-Eleven Woree provides a modern fuel and retail destination for motorists, the local community and transport operators travelling through the southern Cairns corridor.
