Project Overview

Designed for the safe storage, loading and unloading of diesel, ULP 91 and PULP 98, the facility incorporates self-bunded fuel storage, dedicated pumping systems, accurate product metering and both local and remote tank-level monitoring.

A key feature of the project was the modular pumping package, with the complete loading and unloading system housed inside a 20-foot dangerous goods container. This allowed the system to be largely assembled before arriving on site, supporting faster installation and a more efficient site connection process.

Liberty Oil Australia managed the delivery of the canopy, concrete hardstand, plumbing and drainage works, working alongside Nqpetro to complete the broader facility infrastructure.

All stainless-steel interconnecting pipework was fabricated and welded in-house by Nqpetro’s AS 4041-certified welders. Managing this work internally allowed Nqpetro to maintain greater control over fabrication quality, installation requirements and the integration of the complete fuel system.

Supply & installation of 1 x F.E.S. Grande 110 & 1 x F.E.S Grande 100 self-bunded diesel tanks
Installation of 1 x split-compartment 55 kL self-bunded petrol tank for ULP 91 & PULP 98
Supply & installation of 3 x Ebsray V35 positive displacement pumps
Installation of dedicated diesel, ULP 91 & PULP 98 transfer systems
Installation & configuration of variable speed drives
Fabrication & installation of stainless-steel interconnecting pipework
Installation of product metering, loading & unloading equipment
Installation of local & remote tank-level monitoring
System testing, configuration & commissioning

Containerised Fuel System

The complete loading and unloading package was housed inside a 20-foot dangerous goods pumping container, creating a compact modular system that could be delivered to site and connected with minimal on-site fabrication.

The containerised package included the pumps, product meters, balance assemblies, dropper hoses and associated controls required to manage the transfer of diesel, ULP 91 and PULP 98.

Tank levels are monitored locally through a Gilbarco Veeder-Root TLS4 automatic tank gauging system, with remote visibility provided through a FuelScan SDA unit mounted within the fuel switchboard.

This modular approach helped streamline installation, protect the equipment and provide operators with clear oversight of fuel inventory and transfer operations both on site and remotely.
